For as long as I can remember, scare mazes and houses have been some of my favorite forms of entertainment around Halloween. Anything to immerse myself in a fun, terrifying experience with friends or family truly instills so much of the Halloween spirit in me. This definitely dates back to my youth and continues to grow with a respect and love throughout adulthood.

Aside from local mazes and haunted houses, I have always known that the Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights were by far some of the most terrifying immersive maze experiences. While there are still the cheesy behind the bushes scares that come with the adventure, the actual mazes are choreographed and laid out so well, that you truly feel as though what you’re experiencing is real. Realistic to the point where the fear is instilled and makes your heart race.
I’ll never forget one of the years I went and actually had my eye contact fall out, because I was being chased by a chainsaw-wielding maniac. It was awesome, hilarious, and incredibly creepy! On that note, ladies please remember that if you go with a group of only ladies, you will be chased and scared much more than if you’re in a group of guys. While this may or may not be true for everyone, it’s definitely something that I have noticed in previous years. I’m not saying it like it’s a bad thing, but just be prepared for some extra scares!
This year is a special culmination of some horror all-stars from Horror Nights of the past. Here is a list of the special mazes and themes from some of the hottest horror franchises in history.
American Horror Story
